31 March, 2010 I passed my test today on lessons alone thanks to Kevin of the National Driving School, and I’m over the moon ! I have had a dilemma in relation to driving for some time. I had no car and buying one was not the solution either as I had nobody with a full licence who was free to accompany me when driving. (We all know it is now illegal to drive on a provisional licence without a fully licensed driver in the car right?). Anyway, I spoke to Kevin and explained my situation. He gave me excellent advice regarding suitable test areas and the best way to proceed. He is test focused from day one and knows exactly what the testers are looking for and will drill this information into you until your driving skills are up to the required standard. So for those of you without a car, take note, it can be done on lessons alone with a good instructor like Kevin. Even my tester today said he is one of best instructors out there! Rachel H (Dublin)

29 March, 2010 I had failed the test twice and I was unsure exactly what I was doing wrong. When I went to Kevin for lessons he really put me at ease and made it really clear with regard to what area's I needed to concentrate on to get the test. I found in the past that instructors overcomplicated things and because of that I got really hung up on the small things instead of concentrating on the really important things. Kevin quickly showed me what I needed to focus on and to not get too hung up on things that aren't overly important. I was delighted to pass the test recently and I have to say I would put this mostly down to Kevin.

27 March, 2010 I passed my test today (March 27th), mostly thanks to pre-test lessons with Kevin. I had been with several driving instructors previously, and failed my first test last September, largely due to errors not picked up by my instructor before the test. Once I got a date for my new test, I contacted Kevin for a couple of pretest lessons. He quickly put me at ease, pointed out the basic errors I was making (coasting etc.), and helped me master the reverse around the corner (which had been a thorn in my side!). On the lessons he was constantly monitoring my standard of driving, making sure that good habits became automatic. I would recommend Kevin to anyone looking to pass their test, he is precise, professional and friendly - very easy to work with. Thank you! Alison

19 February, 2010 On February 11th 2010 I passed my driving test, it was my first test and it was largely down to Kevin. I was in a bad car crash some years ago and never thought I would drive again. On meeting Kevin I explained the situation and we took it from there. He gave me the confidence to get back into a car (which was a miracle). He was so precise in getting me ready for my test that the only car I drove was his. I am thrilled to have passed my test but I also feel confident driving because Kevin instills good practice as the normal way to drive. Thanks again Kevin. Sinead

18 February, 2010 Just did my driving test there 18th Feb and passed, would like to thank kevin. he's a great driving instructor. Was my 1st time doing a test and went for like 4 lessons with kevin, he really helped me with observation and stopped me from coastiong. Wouldn't not hesitate in reccommending him to a friend

16 February, 2010 Having failed my test in october '09 i needed to get some more lessons, before i did another test. The last company i had lessons with gave me two different instructors which ended up, with me getting conflicting information. And that resulted in the failure of my test. So i searched on goldenpages.ie for driving instructors in my area and national driving school was top of list. So i gave them a call, and arranged a lesson. Within the first lesson Kevin noticed my faults from my failed test and worked on them. Them four lessons later i felt confident about my next test. And sure enough my test came february '10. And what can i say..... I PASSED. Woohoo. Wouldnt have been possible without Kevin and would highly recommend his company for any learner drivers looking to pass your test. Thanks again Kevin.

28 November, 2009 I passed my driving test first time in Tallaght after driving for only 5 months. I could not have done it without Kevin! His style of teaching is geared to suit each individual. 29 September, 2009 I sat my test last week and passed! Id reccomend national driving school, especially Kevin to anyone learning to drive or preparing for their driving test without hesitation! It was not the first time i'd done the test and before meeting Kevin i suffered from severe lack of confidence behind the wheel! After my first attempt at the test i hadn't driven in almost a year but even after the first lesson i was immediatley at ease. The pre-tests i took really helped my confidence so much and everything was broken down to seem so easy. i really dont think i could have done it without the help of Kevin, Thanks again! : )

27 September, 2009 I cant stop going on telling anyone that will listen how great i think the national driving school especially kevin i failed my test the 1st time badly and had no confidence , i was left beliving i would never ever pass but then after reading the reviews about the national driven school i was very impressed and booked some lessons and wow what a difference they made within the 1st ten minutes kevin saw where i was going wrong and talked me though how to put it right. i really liked how straight to the point he was. not only did a pass but i only got two minor marks. it was the best money ive ever spent i have a better awareness off the road now and feel so much more safer driving my little girl around. thanks again kevin. ann , sundale tallaght

22 September, 2009 Just passed my test today. This was my second attemt, the first time i failed atrociously. It was particularly upsetting since i was driving since 14 ys, and felt pretty comfortable behind the wheel. After searching the net i've found Kevin's school, and was really happy to learn that he used to be a tester himself. I only took 3 lessons, still passed my test with minimal mistakes. I would highly recommend him to anyone, especially people need their license as quick as possible.

10 September, 2009 I had already sat my test twice and was begining to lose hope of ever passing my driving test.....until i statrted taking lessons from Kevin. He was able to give me the exact information i needed to pass and point out to me exactely where i was going wrong. definitely recommend him!

01 September, 2009 I met Kevin three weeks before my test. My driving was not too good (to say the least!) even though a lot of money was previously spent on lessons with another driving school. Kevin is an excellent teacher, his advice and indications are very good and very test-focused. I passed the test from the first attempt, I could not believe it! 25 August, 2009 Kevin managed to get rid of years of bad habits with only a few sessions. He is a smart teacher, a pleasure to learn with. He tirelessly corrected my mistakes to perfection. Just today I passed my driving test WITHOUT A SINGLE MARK. Not even minor faults. The tester was genuinely impressed and remarked how seldomly he meets such drivers. 14 August I was very apprehensive about learning how to drive and as a result had put it off for years. When I finally decided to take the plunge, I spent a lot of time researching into who would be the best driving instructor to use. I came across Kevin on goldenpages.ie and after reading the reviews I decided to book a course of lessons. I don’t think I could have made a better choice. Kevin doesn’t have a standard run of the mill teaching routine, he assesses each student individually on their strengths and weaknesses and caters each lesson accordingly. He knows exactly what the examiners are looking for and is very familiar with all the test routes. Just PASSED my test yesterday and I know I couldn’t have done it without him. Thanks!!

Before my fifth attempt i googled driving instructors and came across Kevin in National Driving School and read the reviews and was very impressed and also could relate to alot as they had been in the same position as myself. I only had 2 lessons with Kevin but learnt more in those two lessons than any of the other numerous lessons that i had. Kevin was very good at demonstrating how i should be driving in the test to pass. He also made me feel very relaxed and confident in my driving. I was always very nervous going to my driving test but on the 5th attempt i felt very relaxed and this really helped with my test - this was down to Kevin. If anybody reading this is in the same position as i was you just need a lesson with Kevin - highly recommend&lt

16 July, 2009 I had three lessons with Kevin a couple of weeks before my test. After my first lesson i already felt like i learned so much. Kevin makes sure that you understand every turn, signal and position and makes learning easy. By far the best driving instructure out there! 10 June, 2009 I PASSEDmy test on my first attempt with Leslie. I spoke to Kevin regarding engaging driving lesson with him and told him about my history and my requirements. Very quickly he setup my driving lessons 2 weeks prior the test date with Leslie, who is my instructor. He couldn't assign anyone better. Leslie is so good and experience. He assessed my driving skill and provide his recommendation to me on what is best to me with the aim that I will pass on the first attempt, and I did. I would definitely recommend him to everybody.

22 May, 2009.Honestly the best lessons you can get! Kevin is very down-to-earth and gives you a great confidence boost. I onyl did 2 lessons before my test and kevin told me exactly what the examiner wants and therefor makes it so easy to pass. thanks again kevin emmett

12 May, 2009.I used National Driving School for series of lessons prior to test and found Kevin covered all the bases in preparing for the test. On the day I was confident of passing purely down to the lesson time and helping me understand what the testers are looking for.

11 May, 2009.Quiet simply kevin is the only reason I was able to pass my test. Only had time for one lesson with Kevin and was the best money I ever spent. Absolutely brilliant driving instructor

23 April, 2009,Kevin is a great driving instructor. Initially I had only done 6 lessons and spent a year driving alone picking up many bad habits along the way. Two days before my first driving test i did 2 pre-tests with kevin and he gave me all the information i needed to pass the exam. He ironed out my faults and I passed first time thanks to him. My brother also passed first time having done a few pre-tests with kevin. He really knows what he is talking about.

18 April, 2009,Kevin is a fantastic driving instructor. I passed my first test today thanks to him. I had lessons with other instructors and everyone kept telling me how much of a great driver I was and that I would pass with flying colours but I knew myself I was making mistakes. Kevin straight away pointed out to me where and why I was making mistakes and helped me to fix them. I passed my test and am more confident in my driving thanks to him. 17 April, 2009Sat my driving test today in Tallaght, for the first time, and passed. Having read the great reviews on this site about the National Driving School and Kevin in particular, I decided to call him and book a pretest. What a fantastic guy he is. I had two lessons with him and I can honestly say he gave me such confidence going into that test today it was amazing. The test today went exactly as Kevin said it would, almost down to the exact questions that were asked of me, he couldnt have prepared me more for it. 04 April, 2009i have been driving for ten years and sat my test for the second time and passed it. i sat my first test several years ago and found the whole lessons beforehand and test so horrific that i thought i'd never be able to pass it. i ended up getting a cancellation very early so i had time to do only one lesson before the test. i contacted kevin and he gave me a lesson at very short notice. what i learned in that hour was unbelievable. kevin has a god given talent for teaching driving, it only took him one hour to delete all the bad habits i had gathered over ten years !!! this man is fantasic at his job and i would recomend him to every person for lessons. thanks a million for everything kevin!!!!

On February 21st 2009 had my driving test. I was a bit of a nervous wreck as had done it previously but had failed - due to the usual bad habits like overuse of clutch. Anyway had 2 double lessons with Kevin who immediately took me in hand gave me great advice as to what was needed for me to pass the test etc. he is sooooo patient and is very clear with his instructions and is very friendly - u can ask him anything!!! anyway only for kevin i deff would not have passed. If u are doing your test or looking for lessons I would recommend him as had done lessons with another driving school but not in kevin's league at all. Cheers Kev and thanks again!!! Jan

25 February, 2009I Failed my first driving test a few months ago, i was always over using the clutch i had loads more bad habits that i couldent shake. i had three lessons with kevin and passed my test on the 24th of feb i really dont think i would have if i didnt do lessons with kevin in the national driving school he makes the test seam easy i would definatley reccomend them to a friend and anyone that wants to ace the driving test im very impresed. thanks Kevin :) Karen in Tallaght

25 February, 2009A work colleage of mine who past her test at 17yrs old from lessons from kevin recommended him to my mother who was to sit her test in december, my mother benefitted hugely from kevins advice/lessons and passed! With my own test on the 19th febuary i gave kevin a call. On the lessons kevin was very professional, explained all aspects of the driving test, cut out my bad driving habits and i passed my test first time. 04 February, 2009I sat my test on the 29th January and passed !!! I was so excited as it was my third attempt. I had Kevin as an instructor and Peter once and they are both excellent teachers , I definately do not think I would have passed if I had not done my lessons with them. I was doing a few things wrong like not using my gears properly and going wide turning left and after 4 lessons was much better. I actually only got 3 green faults and 1 blue fault so I could not believe it. So I would deff recommend them for lessons ...Nicola Citywest ...Thanks Kevin :-)

04 February, 2009I have been driving for 15 years both in America and here. I had failed my test here twice already and was really nervous. My test was Friday 30th Jan and thanks to Kevin and Peter I passed. I had so many bad habits but they knocked them on the head and I am so so grateful. Thanks lads, you rock. Louise

02 February, 2009I passesd my drivers test on my fourth attempt last week. I had a different instructer the previous three times but when I heard about kevin I took 2 lessons with him before my test and I did really well. He was a great teacher, had really good tips, and I'd recommend him to anyone!

26 January, 2009.Thursday 22nd January. I'm 20 and I passed first time ! Booked 5 lessons prior to the test with Kevin and I have to say it was definatly down to the time and skill of Kevin's teaching that I passed. He explained the test so well that I wasn't nervous. He gave me the confidence I needed not only to pass the test but also in my every day driving. So if you really want to pass your test, ignore the rest and give Kevin a call. thanks Colm

21 January, 2009I passed my test on the 19th of January 09, after three failed attempts. I had been driving for a few years and had picked up bad habits so I started lessons with Kevin for my fourth attempt and he helped me pass, by improving my reverse around the corner , observation and gears. 21 January 2009 passed my test on monday 19 of jan and still have the grin!but i have 2 say there is not a hope in hell i would have gotten it without kevin from the national driving school.i had major problems with using my pedals properly when movin off and was in constant fear of cutting out!!kevin had this little problem sorted out after only 2 lessons and all my other little bad habits were gone after the third.and all through the test i could hear him in my ear telling me what to do.i highly reccommend kevin 2 anyone with a test coming up,anyone who wants 2 pass that is!!thanks kevin..yr a star! sarah,tallaght.

20 January, 2009 Passed my test today,first time.If you want to pass aswell i would suggest that you call Kevin.Without a shadow of a doubt he was the reason why i passed.I had 2 lessons and thats all it took to get me through.He explains exactly what the examiner is looking for which i got great confidence from.I would also suggest checking the video tutorials on the links on the site which are unbelieveablely informative.If you are still doing lessons with other instructors cancel today and book kevin,you will not regret it.Kevin thanks again.Richard,Dublin.

17 January 2009. hey there guys just to fill all ye nervous wreks with driving tests comin up in on a little secret firstly my sad story 11 years experience and 3 fails bad times .But i was saved and would have been sooner if i had rang N.D.S Instructors name kevin Horgan. Well after the first lesson i had enough confidence to know i was goin to pass this time round.I put it down to his professional and sensitive manner of teaching made me relax and put all of my fears of driving into perspective and had me prepared for the test. 14 January, 2009. Honestly the best lessons you can get! Kevin is very down-to-earth and gives you a great confidence boost. I had failed my test before and would have again if it wasn’t for Kevin. He tells you exactly what they are looking for in the test, and shows you the right and wrong way of doing it. He explains everything so simply and makes you feel very relaxed. He also has very competitive prices compared to other driving-schools, which is a bonus! I’ll definitely be sending my friends and family to him in the future. Lab, in Dublin.

13 January, 2009 I passed my driving test last week first time and as the instructor said i flew through it but i wouldnt of done so well if it wasnt for kevin he makes you fell very relaxed and confident and if youve any bad habits he will go through it until you get it right and then you just forget what you used to being wrong.I and many others were more than impressed with the lessons well worth it i highly recommened it still cant thank you enough kevin cheers

13 January, 2009Excellent!!! I had two lessons just before my test and passed. Kevin went through each part of the test, breaking it down and clearly explaining what the testers were looking for and how i could do well on each section. He helped me with my practical driving skills and gave me confidence so that i knew i would be able to pass the test.

09 January, 2009 I had been driving for about 5 years but had never built up the nerve to actually go through with the test until I went for lessons with Kevin. I had heard that he was very patient as well as a great instructor and both were true. 18 December, 2008I had my driving test today 18th December. I contacted Kevin when I had been given the date for my test and arranged a lesson. It wasn't till I had my first lesson that I realised how many bad habits I had gotten over my 2 years of driving. I also didn't know much of simple stuff such as proper use of mirrors, gears, clutch e.t.c ... Kevin went through everything with me down to the nitty gritty. We went out on about 5 lessons and a pre test and he constantly went over the test sheet with me and explained everything. He listened to the areas that I had real problems with and was completely honest with me. 21 December, 2008im very proud to say that under the excellent tutelage of leslie,that i,who had no prior experience driving a car whatsoever passed my driving test at the first attempt on the 19th of decenber in Tallaght.in the first place i chose national driving school because of the great reviews on here compared to other schools. My instructor lesley was a perfect blend of patience,encouragement,fun and seriousness.Given my total lack of experience he spent a lot of time getting the basics right and then fine tuning them with regular practice.With national driving school not only have i passed the driving test on the first occassion but i have learned safe driving for life.My full licence is the best xmas present.thx les.prem jarajj.

23 December, 2008I passed my test on the 19th Dec. I went from a total fail to only 3 Grade 2's with only two hours instruction. I also found out that I was given WRONG information from my first instructor!! (A well known school in Tallaght). Kevin was calm and relaxed and filled me with confidence before the test! There is absolutley no way I would have passed without him especially making mistakes because of my last instructor. I cannot recommend him any higher and have already passed his name on to anyone I know who is a learner driver. 28 December, 2008I have gone to a number of instructors over the years, but I have to say that Kevin at the National Driving School has been the best. Thanks to all his help and encouragement I passed my test on the 22nd of December. I couldn't recommend him highly enough

30 November, 2008,Did 6 lessons with ISM and failed on my first go, big waste of time!! Switched over to the national driving school after that and learned more in a half an hour with Kevin than i did from the 6 hours with ISM. 28 November, 2008,i was in a panic yesterday the 27th of nov 08 . i had my driving test today 28th and i had not got the time for any lessons or pre-tests so i was ringing around lots of places yesterday to try get a pre test last minute.everywhere was booked up, i got in touch then with kevin(who was also booked up) but he told me to go onto his website and follow the links to view the video tutorials, what a help they were, i am now a fully qualified driver, i passed ,wihoo!!! the videos were extremely helpful and the quetions on his site also helped alot. i would like to thank kevin for being the only insructor willing to help in my hour of need, without him guiding me to this website i think i would have definitetly failed! thanks so much...!

27 November, 2008,I'm 29 and have lived in Dublin for 9 years so never learnt to drive. Impulsively I applied for my test and then panicked as I had no instructor. I found The National Driving School online and decided to call. Instantly Kevin put a nervous driver at ease when we took his car out on our first lesson. Little by little with Kevin's patience, encouragement and good nature my driving became better and my confidence grew. He pointed me in the right direction when I repeatedly made the same mistakes and always instilled a sense of positivity into the lessons. 6 weeks later and after about 8 or 9 lessons I took my test and passed first time. The majority of the credit has to go to Kevin. With a lesser teacher I'm sure I wouldn’t have passed. I can only tell you that when I came out of the driving centre, Kevin was as delighted for me as I was. It's a huge compliment to him that he take's so much enjoyment from seeing his students pass their tests. Thanks again Kevin - Brian in Firhouse

19 November, 2008 ,Cant recommend National Driving School enough! having passed my driving test just yesterday(first time and really only driving full time for about the last 6 months.)- it was without a shadow of a doubt down to Kevin’s wonderful driving instructions. I had a 2 hour pre-test before my test-as most people I was a bag of nerves,(I was making lots of silly mistakes) but Kevin put me at my ease and helped me focus on what to do and stay positive and confident. He gives you "clear", precise instructions. He gives you exactly the information you need to know about the test, from start to finish, bonnet checks to the signs you need to know. He is also excellent at observing your driving and giving you tips on where to improve so you can focus on those in your test. Kevin is extremely personable

28 November, 2009 I passed my driving test first time in Tallaght after driving for only 5 months. I could not have done it without Kevin! His style of teaching is geared to suit each individual. He is a fantastic teacher and I would definitely recommend the National Driving School to my friends and any learners out there..Maria

17 September, 2009 I've only been driving for 4 months and had done lessions before and had been told many different things on how to pass my test but Keven was amazing he knew what the tester wanted from you he does not only to teach you how to drive but also teachs you how to pass your test. I had done one test and it had 14 grade 2 today I pass my test because of Keven and to prove how could he is I only had 3 lessions. If you want to pass your test Keven is the man.
